Black Cats Looking for Forever Homes

We would appreciate any assistance you can give,

but the ultimate gift is to adopt one of these wonderful pets.

ICRA has other cats looking for homes...but they're not black!

DANTE

Dante is looking for his forever home. He is an excellent and super loving! He is solid black but with some cool red in his back fur. He may be part Burmese and he has an adorable semi-squashed face. Dante is very calm, content, and affectionate. All he wants in life is to sit on your lap and love you! He will knead and rub his head against you. He also likes to curl up in cozy spots like his kennel or sit on top of his cat tower (these two comforts will accompany him in his forever adoption). He would do best in a home with no small children or dogs. He has never lived with other cats, but he is willing to give it a try. He recently had his teeth cleaned so he has a clean bill of health. Dante was abandoned when his thoughtless owner moved away and left him behind. Dante would prefer a dog-free home. Can you give this wonderful, loving boy his forever home in your considerate care? We estimate he was born in 2002. Bio# KZ001

MURPHY

A quiet and affectionate young cat once he bonds with his person, Murphy is also playful and curious. With strangers, Murphy is shy and needs time to warm up before he is himself. He will need patient encouragement by his new guardian until he has adjusted to his new home environment and can bond with his new family members. He enjoys the company of his brother, Max, in his foster home but he can be adopted separately from Max. Murphy would enjoy a home that has another cat or a possibly a cat-friendly, calm dog to cuddle and play with. He would likely do best in an adult only household. In June 2008, Murphy and his four siblings were rescued in Chinatown in Oakland shortly after their mother was struck and killed by a car. Murphy, Martin, Max and Millie are looking for loving homes. We estimate that they were born in early April 2008. Bio# 2730C BS

 LUCY LOU

This sleek black beauty is a doll! She is curious, playful, and affectionate. Lucy Lou especially enjoys one on one time with you where she can be close, rub cheek to cheek with you, and cuddle. She gets along very well with other cats given proper introduction and time to adjust. Just short of tricks, Lucy Lou would do just about anything for a canned food treat! She has a very difficult time with change and the transition to a new home environment, so she will require a special process that must be followed for her move to a new home to be successful. Details can be discussed with anyone who is interested in adopting Lucy Lou. She is wonderful and worth it! She should be fine with children over 8 and calm dogs. She was born in the summer 2003. DARLA

Sweet, fluffy, beautiful Darla was found running around in a parking lot. She's very affectionate and loves to play. She's a marvelous lap cat and adores being petted. She is a shy girl at first and needs an understanding, mellow home. She'd be best in a home without young children or dogs. We estimate she was born in March of 2005. Bio# 2075 FG
